Heating Instructions

All meals are delivered to you refrigerated, fully cooked and ready to heat and eat.

Most meals are microwaveable although you can certainly transfer them to an oven safe dish and heat them up. The one's in Black & Gold Aluminum containers need to be heated up in the oven, toaster oven or airfryer.

To heat your dinner, place in microwave, loosen the lid and cook at high power for one minute.  Check dish, stir if necessary and continue heating in additional 30 second increments as needed.

Chicken Pot Pies:  Heat in oven/toaster oven at 350 for about 15 minutes until sides start to bubble up.  The phyllo dough flowers on top are just lightly cooked so that they will turn brown and crisp up when you are heating it up.

Crab Cakes:  Although we serve it in a microwave safe dish, we recommend you remove the crab cake and heat it up in the oven/toaster oven/air fryer or even in a pan with a little butter.  This will allow it to keep it's outer crispiness.  The rice and veggies can be heated in the microwave.

Pasta Entrees:  You will need to add some liquid to the dish prior to heating. You can use water or broth. The pasta absorbs the sauce when we cool it down.  Adding some liquid will help bring out the creaminess of the sauce.  Heat on high for one minute then stir.  Heat on high another minute then stir again.  Continue cooking in 30 second increments as needed.

Garlic Knots:  These can be heated in the oven or microwave.  They are already baked so need very little heating time.  15-20 seconds in the microwave or 3-4 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

Cornbread:  This is best served warm.  You can cut an individual piece from the pan and heat it in the microwave.  Wrap it in a damp paper towel and heat for about 30 seconds.  For the small pan of cornbread in the metal dish, heat in the oven at 350 for about 10 minutes  The Honey Butter can also be warmed up for 15 seconds in the microwave on 70% power.

Cakes:  These are best at room temperature so take them out of the fridge when you begin your meal and they should be ready-to-eat when you are finished.

If you are not going to eat your freshly prepared meal within three  or four days, freeze it for later to preserve the freshness.  They can then be heated from frozen.  We recommend heating a frozen entree at 100% power for three minutes.  Check dish, stir if necessary and continue heating in 30 second increments as needed.
